Two new drilling decisions mean that Skagen44 AS will participate in two wells in the southern area of the North Sea during the 3rd quarter of 2012.
The first prospect, called 'Skagen', lies in block 7/8, and is part of the production license PL498, with Lotos as operator. The well will be drilled using the jack-up rig 'Mærsk Guardian', with additional partners being North Energy and Edison.
The second prospect, 'Isbjørn', is located on the border of blocks 16/10 and 7/2, and is part of the production license PL568. The license is operated by Talisman, with additional partners Edison, Petoro and Det Norske. The well will be drilled using the jack-up rig ' Mærsk Giant'.
Both licenses are located between the Ekofisk and Sleipner Fields, in the south-western corner of Norwegian continental shelf, and adjacent to the border with the offshore UK acreage.
