Skagen44 will participate in the drilling of two wells on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in Q4 2013: The first prospect is named 'Brattholmen' and lies in block 4/4 in the southern North Sea just north-east of the Siri-field.
The acreage was awarded in production license PL541 in APA 2009 and the operating company is Repsol Exploration Norway A/S. The two other partners in the license are Edison International Norway Branch and Concedo. The well will be drilled by Maersk Drilling's jack-up rig 'Maersk Giant'.
The second prospect is named 'Novus' and is located in blocks 6507/7 and 6507/10 in the Norwegian Sea due south of the Heidrun-field. The prospect is part of the production license PL645 that was awarded in APA 2011. It is operated by Faroe Petroleum and the two other partners in the license are Centrica and Concedo. The well will be drilled by Atlantic's drilling ship 'West Navigator'.
